Job Coach Rover (Employment Services)
Location:
Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, and surrounding Portland Metro areas
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $21.50–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Access Community Care is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and motivated Job Coach Rover to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving meaningful, competitive employment within their communities.
What You'll DoJob Coaching- Develop trusting, person-centered relationships with participants.
- Provide individualized job coaching to help participants learn and maintain competitive employment.
- Implement employment goals outlined in Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
- Teach job tasks using coaching techniques, task analysis, and workplace accommodations when appropriate.
- Promote participant independence while fostering natural supports in the workplace.
- Ensure participant health, safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist participants with transportation planning and travel training when appropriate.
- Collaborate with employers to support successful workplace integration and long-term employment success.
- Provide coverage wherever needed within the Employment Services department.
- Flex between Job Coaching and Job Development responsibilities based on participant and operational needs.
- Travel throughout the Portland Metro area to participant worksites, employers, and agency locations.
- Report to the office for required meetings, training, documentation, administrative work, and when participant schedules change or coverage is needed.
- Assist with staffing coverage during periods of increased service demand.
- Complete progress notes, billing documentation, employer contacts, and service records by the end of each workday whenever possible.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with Medicaid, Vocational Rehabilitation, ODDS requirements, agency policies, and Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR).
- Maintain familiarity with participant goals, support needs, risk plans, and safety protocols.
- Complete all required trainings and maintain required certifications.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, vocational rehabilitation, human services, education, social services, or related fields preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable adapting to changing schedules and priorities.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record required.
- Walk, stand, sit, bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout the workday.
- Lift up to 20 pounds.
- Travel frequently between participant worksites, employers, and agency locations.
- Work in a variety of community-based employment settings.
