Community Assistant Overview

As a Community Assistant, a major aspect of this role is supporting our package and service offices for residents as well as providing after-hours oversight and response. This role supports the student services function of the organization providing opportunities for community engagement, intentional programming, satisfaction, and the well-being of the building.

Hours:

10-29 hours per week, depending on the team schedule

Location:

Applicants must live in the Goose Hollow community

Community Assistant duties include:

  • Work with the Community Assistant team to participate in after-hours on-call rotations
  • Serve as an on-site responder for after-hours calls and emergencies
  • Assist with basic maintenance requests after-hours
  • Submit accurate and timely documentation for after-hours calls, incidents, and other building concerns
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly community events
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to residents and customers at all times
  • Collaborate with site staff and resident council to address community needs
  • Brings a Can-Do! attitude to the workplace and is a champion of CHNW's values

What we are hoping to see from you:

  • Must live in CHNW's Goose Hollow community
  • Experience in Customer Service is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in residence life, housing, and/or property management is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in leadership, team support, and/or supervision is preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience utilizing critical thinking skills, people skills, professional skills, teamwork abilities, project management skills, and organizational skills
