Missions

Reinforce social ties and prevent conflicts. Facilitate access to rights and services. Foster cohesion and public tranquility. Ensure a relay between residents, institutions, and local actors. Welcome, listen, and guide users to services. Identify situations of tension or rupture in social ties. Establish a diagnosis of the situation. Ensure a presence of proximity in neighborhoods, public spaces, or CCAS reception areas.

Serve as an intermediary between residents and social services. Work in network with partners to enhance the effectiveness of actions taken. Facilitate dialogue between residents, institutions, and public services. Conduct mediation interviews between individuals or between users and institutions. Prevent and defuse conflicts, re-establish communication. Contribute to improving the quality of life together. Ensure a presence of proximity, establish a climate of trust, and intervene in mediation to defuse tensions.

Try to provide individuals with the means to seek solutions to their situation on their own. Accompany users in their simple administrative procedures (social rights, housing, health, employment). Facilitate access to rights (explanation of procedures, connection with a social worker). Participate in collective prevention and information actions (workshops, meetings, permanences). Support collective actions for prevention and participate in the regulation of public space usage.

Required aptitudes:
Capacity for listening, communication, and conflict management. Self-mastery, impartiality, sense of confidentiality. Ability to work in a team and in partnership. Required knowledge:
Social institutions, access to rights mechanisms, and local social action. Mediation, communication, and conflict management techniques. Good knowledge of the communal territory and its publics.
