Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Licensed Masters of Social Worker (LMSW) to support clients in accessing vital services, engaging in beneficial activities, and providing assistance to both clients and their families. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping individuals navigate complex situations, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support while fostering their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients in accessing services both over the phone and in person.
- Encourage and engage clients in activities that promote their well‑being and development.
- Conduct assessments of clients, gathering relevant personal and medical information.
- Provide clients and their families with information, resources, and emotional support.
- Make referrals to other agencies or services when appropriate, ensuring a comprehensive approach to client care.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of client interactions and prepare reports as needed.
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to stay updated on best practices.
- Monitor and identify signs of child abuse or neglect, reporting as necessary according to protocol.
- Provide crisis intervention when needed, offering immediate support to clients in distress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with clients dealing with issues such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health concerns, and parental substance abuse.
- Strong active listening skills, with the ability to give full attention to clients, understand their needs, ask relevant questions, and provide appropriate responses.
- Awareness of clients’ emotional responses and the ability to empathize with and understand their perspectives.
- Sound judgment in evaluating the relative costs and benefits of various social service and healthcare actions, selecting the most appropriate interventions.
- Comfort and proficiency using computers for administrative and case management tasks.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in challenging or crisis situations.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health management.
- Valid and current Social Work License (LMSW).
- Knowledge of crisis intervention protocols or certifications.
