We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bi-Lingual individual to join our team as a Youth Advocate. As a Youth Advocate, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young individuals, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You will play a crucial role in advocating for the rights and well-being of youth, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and opportunities for personal growth.

Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is Required.

Status: Part Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part-Time position serving youth and families throughout Portland/Multnomah County are available.

  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.
  • The primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
  • This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage and activity reimbursement

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
  • Flexible Schedule (Non-Traditional Hours
    - Evenings and weekends may be required)
  • Travel throughout the coverage area to homes, schools, and in the community
  • Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
