What You'll Do:
- Be a leader: Guide and coach team members in providing critical services to youth. Support them in navigating crisis, implementing programming and providing supportive services.
Train and onboard staff, provide direct supervision, and facilitate team meetings, trainings, and other team building activities. - Ensure Safety: maintain and oversee overall safety of shelter spaces.
Ensure compliance with DHS licensing. - Work Collaboratively: work closely with greater leadership team to support team cohesion and continuous improvement of services for youth.
- Document the Journey: Support team in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of supervisory background
- Minimum two years of experience working with high-risk youth
- Experience, ability and commitment to working with sexual minority and culturally diverse staff, participants and community
- Excellent communication, organization, creativity, flexibility, optimism, positive humor and overall interpersonal skills
- Strong decision making and critical thinking skills – ability to move through day to day operations and crisis with clear guidance
- Valid driver's license, access to an automobile, and active auto insurance
