Software Engineer – App

We are looking for a software engineer to join an energetic, international team across multiple regions. The candidate should be versatile, self‑motivated, independent, resourceful, creative, able to meet tight deadlines, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills for a cross‑cultural environment.

A key part of the role is working with Canapii team members to design and deliver tooling and processes for our developers, overseeing all parts of the software development lifecycle for products on iOS, Android and HTML5 from code to production. Responsibilities include developing and designing a highly scalable system architecture, ensuring responsiveness of applications, running tests and debugging, and collaborating closely with the development team.

The candidate should demonstrate an eagerness to grow beyond the current skill set while keeping customer, business, and security considerations in mind.

• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial environment doing full‑stack or back‑end software development
• Degree in Computing or a related technical field
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• "Can do" attitude
• Track record of delivering projects and KPIs on time with high quality
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while considering performance, usability and security
• Experience with web platform development, Dev Ops, software architecture, and JavaScript/Type Script
• Familiarity with AWS services, serverless, No
  
  SQL, mobile apps, Ionic/Cordova/Angular
• Knowledge of AWS services is a plus
• Proficient use of an open‑source technology stack
• Self‑motivated to learn new technologies and skills independently through online resources

Experience developing applications in all applicable platforms (iOS, Android, HTML5) is preferred.

This position is remote and we are looking for candidates based in the Philippines.
