Software Development Engineer II/III (Healthcare)
Hybrid (Office 3 days/wk – Onsite‑Flex) within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah. Software Development Engineers (II or III) support the delivery and maintenance of application systems in a cross‑team environment, focusing on health‑care solutions.
Responsibilities- Program, debug, build, deploy, test, and document applications in development and production environments.
- Design and maintain database structures and write stored procedures.
- Perform system testing and create documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply Test‑Driven Development, Behavior‑Driven Development, continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD), containerization, and orchestration practices.
- Implement RESTful/Graph
QL API designs and enforce security best practices. - For Engineers III: provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and oversee work of one or two team members.
- Contribute to communities of practice and potentially serve as a Team Champion.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Engineering II: minimum 3 years of relevant multi‑platform experience.
- Engineering III: minimum 5 years of relevant multi‑platform experience.
- Proficient with C#.NET, Python, SQL Server, SSIS, and stored procedures.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Glue) and integrations with AI tools preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely or in distributed teams.
- Knowledge of TDD, BDD, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, API design, defensive programming, OWASP top 10, authentication principles, and data stewardship.
- Experience building data pipelines (exchange, cleansing, validation, standardization) and working with AI technologies highly desired.
Engineers II: base salary $87,000–$109,000 per year (full range $87k–$142k); bonus target 15%.
Engineers III: base salary $104,000–$131,000 per year (full range $104k–$171k); bonus target 15%.
