Seeking an experienced Embedded Services Architect to lead the architecture and design of embedded software for In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems. The role requires deep expertise in embedded platforms, SOCs, and operating systems, along with strong technical leadership in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive embedded software architecture for IFE systems
- Lead design across system software, virtualization, trusted OS, graphics, security, and multimedia
- Architect solutions using Linux, Android, and RTOS platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure hardware–software alignment
- Break down architecture into development tasks and resolve design issues
- Participate in SAFe Agile planning, ARTs, and architecture reviews
- Document architecture using C4/model-based frameworks
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of embedded systems architecture experience
- Experience in aviation or automotive embedded systems (preferred)
- SOC experience with Qualcomm (820/8295/8255), NXP i.MX 6/8, or similar
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Android internals, kernel, and hardware integration
- Experience with virtualization (LXC, QNX, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in C++, Go, Java, Python; low-level programming a plus
- Knowledge of embedded security, networking, and device drivers
- Experience working in SAFe or SCRUM Agile environments
