Location:
Oregon and Southwest Washington region.
The Lead Driver delivers products to New Seasons Market stores and operates a variety of fleet vehicles up to 26,000 GVW. Responsibilities include route planning, safety compliance, vehicle maintenance coordination, and training of other drivers. The role requires a valid driver licence, ability to travel to store locations and events across the United States, and a DOT medical card.

- Follow all company rules and site‑specific guidelines.
- Drive various New Seasons Market fleet vehicles including Sprinter Vans, Ambient Box Trucks, and Refrigerated Trucks.
- Deliver bakery and other items to stores in the Oregon/SW Washington region.
- Make special deliveries or pickups for small vendors, local vendors and supported programs.
- Follow assigned routes with attention to safety, schedule, and product integrity; support drivers with route efficiency.
- Maintain vehicle security and cleanliness, perform truck cab inspections, and assist with chaining and equipment maintenance.
- Follow all food safety and HACCP procedures and safety regulations.
- Complete DVIRs, temperature logs, and oversee staff completion.
- Track and communicate truck repairs and maintenance needs.
- Notify store teams of any route delays.
- Assist other departments during increased delivery times or special events, which may include receiving, fulfillment or shipment preparation.
- Report accidents, injuries, loss of goods, or property damage immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks and other lift devices, training staff as needed.
- Coordinate with store or location personnel at receiving points, docks, or equipment areas.
- Pick up company equipment such as dollies, pallets, totes, and fish boxes.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and rotation of all areas, products, and supplies.
- Handle damaged or spoiled product according to policy.
- Notify managers of any customer service, safety, productivity, or security issues.
- Work with standard office equipment and may use industrial kitchen tools when required.
- Regularly lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; handle pulling resistances up to 100 lbs; be on feet throughout the shift; climb stairs or ladders as needed.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving or supply logistics experience.
- Prior warehousing and fulfillment experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- At least 18 years of age (Federal and State regulations).
- Valid Oregon or Washington State driver’s licence.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Provide a pre‑employment 5‑year driving record abstract with an accident‑free history.
- Subject to DOT post‑accident testing and other required testing.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments with flexible prioritization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and professional communication with partners at all levels.
