Logistics Specialist I – Overview
Under the direction of management, the Logistics Specialist I distributes supplies and support materials and processes incoming and outgoing mail within each college location. Responsibilities include establishing, designating, and coordinating mail routes, stops, and schedules across multiple campuses and learning centers. The role also involves transporting and delivering parcels, inter‑departmental and U.S. mail in accordance with college and U.S. Postal Service regulations, and using handheld electronic logging and chain‑of‑custody tracking systems to scan, route, record, track deliveries, and maintain photographic records.
Responsibilities- Distribute supplies and support materials across campuses.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, establishing routes, stops, and schedules.
- Transport and deliver parcels, inter‑departmental and U.S. mail per regulations.
- Use handheld electronic logging and chain‑of‑custody tracking systems to scan, route, record, and track deliveries.
- Maintain updated reference list of employees and their assigned mail stops.
- Document deliveries with photographic records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience related to materials handling, tracking, and delivery.
- Basic knowledge of computer data entry and retrieval procedures.
- Valid driver’s license operating a motor vehicle in Oregon with a three‑year accident‑free record and no recent moving violations.
- Must acquire forklift operator certification within six months of employment.

The first two steps of the range are $44,559 to $45,896 per year. Higher placement may be available based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
