General Manager (Player-Coach) – Portland, Oregon

Sky Hop Global is a national leader in airline crew transportation, operating 24/7/365 across major U.S. markets. We are looking for a hands-on Station Leader who is ready to lead and grow a high-performing team from the ground up.
This is a player-coach role—you won’t just manage the operation; you’ll be in it. Expect to spend approximately 50% of your time driving, leading by example, and setting the standard for safety, service, and performance.
What You’ll Do- Lead day-to-day station operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- Drive routes and transport airline crew members safely and professionally when required
- Hire, train, coach, and develop drivers and support staff
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company policies
- Monitor KPIs, schedules, and service levels to meet client expectations
- Partner with dispatch, safety, and leadership teams to drive performance
- Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and growth
- Proven manager with leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or operations
- Hands‑on, “lead from the front” mindset—this is not a desk‑only role
- Open availability – must be able to support a 24/7/365 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑moving environment
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record (no moving violations in the past 3 years)
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Non‑CDL DOT Medical Card
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and assist with crew luggage
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to all company driving policies
- No personal mobile device usage while operating company vehicles (per company policy)
