Portland DC - Distribution Driver

Driver Position

Eligible for a $500 new hire bonus. After 90 days you will have an opportunity to earn an additional $200 per month incentive bonus.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour. Job description includes full-time employment with benefits such as medical, dental and vision, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, 401K plan with employer match, and paid time off.

Primary job function includes ensuring the vehicle is fit for the road by performing routine checks, loading the vehicle safely, driving in accordance with highway code regulations, maintaining a clean vehicle, delivering all orders in a timely manner, and providing top-notch customer service.

Qualifications include 2 to 3 years of delivery driving experience, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, the ability to pass background check and drug screen, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and be comfortable doing manual labor, consistent work history/strong work ethic, dependability, a team player attitude, and strong attention to detail.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands and fingers, handling or operating objects, tools, or controls, operating company vehicles, lifting/carrying by hand, pushing/pulling products of excessive weight, working independently and in a team environment, meeting or exceeding efficiencies standards, driving for long periods of time, and working in extreme weather conditions.

What you bring includes excellent communication skills, organization skills, ability to work under multi-task situations, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a sense of urgency for all tasks, and the ability to perform other assignments as directed by management.

Experience includes a high school diploma (or GED or high school equivalence certificate), 2-3 years distribution experience is preferred, industry knowledge and identification is a plus, strong knowledge of safety compliance/requirements, and basic computer skills/knowledge.

Schedule includes day shift, work week:
Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. Hours vary. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the distribution center supervisor/manager.
