Job Summary

To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse by driving a tractor‑trailer to various destination points according to customer invoices and company standards.

Typically dispatch at 3 a.m.

- local routes go home at night, if the route goes to Spokane it may result in a layover.

• Safely transport product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensure timely delivery according to assigned route; load and unload product per customer specifications.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, pre‑and post‑trip reports; verify invoices and bag counts match Bill of lading.
• Maintain food safety protocols, ensuring proper temperatures in the delivery vehicle.
• Follow preferred work methods at all times and promptly report unsafe conditions to management.
• Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including pallets, load bars, SLS unit, and personal protective equipment.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with customers through excellent and courteous service and clear communication.
• Communicate with management regarding deviations to route, trailer or loading issues, or customer/product issues.
• Work scheduled shifts and be available outside typical hours to meet customer needs; maintain regular, predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree; one year of tractor‑trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor‑trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to a high school diploma.
• Certifications:
  
  Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License; must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of employment.
• Knowledge:
  Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Hazmat guidelines, safe lifting and delivery practices.
• Skills:
  
  Driving over long distances, varied terrain and weather; customer communication; problem solving; product delivery; operating a 3‑axle tractor, 45‑48′ trailer, straight truck, onboard computer keypad and 2‑wheel hand cart.
• Abilities:
  Read and speak English; perform basic math; plan and organize work independently; remain alert in day and night driving; meet or exceed company productivity levels.

The job requires sitting, talking and hearing regularly. Occasional lifting, pushing or moving of product up to 50 lbs by hand and up to 350 lbs using a 2‑wheeled hand cart down a ramp. Requires climbing in and out of a tractor and trailer. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work occurs overnight, weekends, holidays, overtime, on‑call, and starting at varied times. Employees may be exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, high or precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise.
