Full-Time RDC/Warehouse Positions Available

We have openings for full-time RDC/Warehouse I or II positions at our Industrial Warehouse in NW Portland.

These positions will be working with the RDC teams, which include Online Buyback, New Books receiving & returns, Gifts receiving, online order Fulfillment, and the Replenishment team which works heavily with Remainders and Used books. Positions often have a focus in one department, but all staff flex between departments depending on business & seasonal need. Members of the Replenishment team specifically may spend part of their schedule working with displays at the Burnside store on a rotating basis.

Schedule:

Shifts will be 9am – 5pm. Schedules will either be Monday
- Friday or Sunday
- Thursday.

Pay Range: $16.80 per hour, increasing to $17.50 per hour, effective the first day of the pay period following the 31st calendar day from hire.

Work within one of the constituent departments of the RDC – Order Fulfillment, OBB, New Books, or Remainders, and works to ensure that the right book reaches the right location. Is responsible for receiving and sorting incoming products and preparing items for delivery to customers or retail outlets based on defined departmental processes. Works closely with more experienced processors and when competent will be assigned more complex tasks and responsibilities.

Will be trained in complex RDC/Warehouse functions to achieve the skills to work independently. Reports to Department Head.

Essential Functions:

• Processes, unpacks, and stages incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of vendor, store, or customer supplied manifests.
• Receives products into our database, labels and accurately sorts products to final destination based on departmental criteria.
• Flags discrepancies in title, price, condition, or destination of products
• Takes an active role in completing problem orders.
• Develops a sound working knowledge of Powell's inventory management system and other public or proprietary software programs.
• Runs reports to verify accuracy of work
• Data retrieval, entry, and maintenance.
• Prepares, shelves, and monitors display tables throughout retail stores.
• Picks inventory and transfers merchandise from overstock to locations throughout the corporation, or to external customers.
• De-labels products and prepares them for overstock return.
• Generates invoices for external customers and vendors.
• Works individually and as part of a team on shipping lines, including shrink-wrapping, boxing, sealing, and sorting outgoing packages.
• Maintains workstation area and removes recyclable materials to proper location.
• Prepares and stages outgoing delivery of carts, totes, and packages at scheduled delivery times.
• Consistently maintain or exceed current productivity expectations.
• Demonstrates consistent adherence to safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
