Material Handler
As a Materials Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and delivering supplies to various areas within the hospital. Your role is crucial in ensuring that hospital supplies are stocked and delivered accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Receive freight at the stockroom and accurately scan inventory into the system.
- Stock hospital supplies in the stockroom.
- Use handheld devices to pick orders from different hospital wings, floors, or divisions.
- Place items into totes and deliver them to the corresponding areas within the hospital.
Essential Skills
- Experience with stock, inventory, ERP systems, tracking, picking, and packing.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and labeling.
- Basic computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital or sterile environment is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, such as receiving freight ranging from 5-40 lbs.

Work Environment
The role is based at Emanuel Hospital in North Portland, working exclusively inside the hospital. Scrubs are provided and mandatory. You will be trained and shadow another materials associate, and you will interact with various hospital staff including patients, doctors, nurses, and stock room employees.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
