Warehouse Materials Handler

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain and ensuring the timely distribution of materials to our partners. As a materials handler, you will be responsible for the physical handling of products, materials, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload building materials from trucks using forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, and document inventory data.
• Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner in compliance with company and OSHA safety policies.
• Manage storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected and organized according to company standards.
• Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and transporting orders to shipping areas.
• Assist in inventory control including counting and recording inventory during cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Basic mathematical skills for managing inventory.
