Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate for a part-time, long-term temporary opportunity in Portland, OR. This role supports warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and field operations for a residential and commercial construction-related environment.
The Warehouse Associate will help keep daily operations organized by receiving materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, staging products for installations, supporting technician truck stock, and assisting with deliveries. Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, store, and distribute warehouse inventory, parts, and materials accurately and safely.
- Match incoming shipments to purchase orders and invoices, identify discrepancies, and coordinate returns for damaged or missing items.
- Stage doors, materials, and supplies for scheduled installations and assist with loading technician and installer trucks.
- Maintain inventory levels, conduct physical counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support technician truck stock reporting.
- Coordinate will‑call pickups, product returns, parts deliveries, and warehouse support requests from managers, technicians, installers, and office staff.
- Keep the warehouse organized, inspect equipment and vehicles, support fleet repair coordination, and follow safety procedures.
- Pay: $20 to $24 per hour.
- Estimated annual range: $25,000 to $30,000 per year.
- Schedule:
Wednesday through Friday, 8 hours per day. - Employment Type:
Part-time, long-term temporary. - Additional hours may be available during busy seasons.
- Location:
Portland, OR.
- Receive, organize, and distribute inventory, materials, and supplies for warehouse and field operations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, truck stock support, and usage tracking.
- Stage materials for installations and assist with loading, pickups, deliveries, and returns.
- Support warehouse safety, equipment inspections, vehicle coordination, and day-to-day logistics troubleshooting.
- 3 or more years of warehouse experience.
- Experience with inventory control, warehouse organization, shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to update records, reports, and inventory information accurately.
- Valid, current driver's license.
- Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, teamwork, and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, installers, vendors, managers, and office staff.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions and noisy warehouse environments.
- Experience supporting construction, installation, field service, or technician-based operations.
- Experience maintaining technician truck stock, staging job materials, or coordinating parts deliveries.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems, inventory tracking tools, or basic purchasing support.
- Prior experience coordinating fleet vehicle repairs or warehouse equipment inspections.
