Accounting Coordinator
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role will be responsible for processing customer payments, resolving account discrepancies, assisting with sales tax reporting, supporting general ledger activities, and partnering with multiple departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, record, and reconcile daily invoicing activity, cash receipts, credit card transactions, and check payments
- Process and apply customer payments, debits, and credits
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues
- Submit and track intercompany billing transactions
- Assist with monthly sales tax filings and compliance reporting
- Provide backup support for credit and collections functions
- Process and reconcile purchasing card transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and evaluate business results
- Assist with general ledger accounting activities
- Support additional accounting department initiatives and projects as needed
- Follow established safety policies and workplace procedures

Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or two years of accounting experience
- Experience supporting Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or general accounting functions
- Preferred:
- 5+ years of accounting, finance, or business administration experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience working within an ERP system
- Additional accounting, finance, or business education or certifications

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, TN.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
