Purpose Statement:

Summary
The Worship Minister is a part‑time position and is not benefits eligible. This position will be responsible for working with the Senior Pastor to select songs – based on Scripture – which lead the congregation in meaningful worship of God. The Worship Minister will lead and mentor musicians, vocalists and other volunteers including video, sound, and lighting. The candidate should possess a heart for leading a congregation in worship and thrive working in a team environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities- Work alongside Senior Pastor for teaching schedule, themes, direction, and creative elements.
- Partner with Senior Pastor in developing the order of service for the upcoming Sunday morning schedule.
- Play a musical instrument [e.g., guitar, piano] and sing during worship services as the primary worship leader.
- Communicate effectively with the congregation, offering insights into the meaning and significance of worship and songs.
- Work closely with the Senior Pastor to integrate a consistent message that supports the sermon series and other vital areas of church life.
- Identify, recruit, train and encourage the team leaders and volunteers.
- Able to plan and budget for your areas of responsibility.
- Help foster good communication and a strong sense of community among all musicians and vocalists.
- Coordinate and lead rehearsals with musicians and vocalists.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of musicians and vocalists.
- Provide constructive feedback to team members to improve their musical and spiritual skills.
- Collaborate with other church leaders to coordinate worship elements seamlessly with other aspects of the service.
- Supervise maintenance and acquisition of music and technology equipment.
- Ensure communication and coordination for the Sunday Worship service.
- Will provide proactive input and advice to the Senior Pastor on instrument, audio/visual, tunings, maintenance and overall upgrades when deemed necessary.
- Enlist and provide training for audio, visual and lighting personnel.
