The Design Engineer will focus on contributing to the world class design and development of power distribution systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), data center infrastructure, and associated components focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.

You will collaborate with a diverse group who are committed to only the highest quality solutions. We are a collaborative team and this means you’re empowered and have the opportunity to influence all aspects of the design, and know that each contribution you make is significant.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality designs of large-scale BESS and data center power infrastructure products based on customer specifications

Apply engineering principles to design or modify products for prototype testing.

Participate in design reviews of all products designed within the department.

Support quoting activities and customer specification reviews to develop solutions that effectively meet customer needs

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Create detailed part designs and drawings using Solid Works software.

Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments to deliver best-in-class products to the energy storage, data center and renewable energy industries

Minimum BSME graduate with at least 2 years recent design experience

Minimum three years’ experience using Solid Works and Solid Works PDMPreferred:
Prior experience designing for BESS, data centers, power distribution systems, or related industries

Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM)
Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design

Great computational and spatial ability

Excellent oral and written communication

Strong attention to detail

Ability to travel as needed
