Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 annually, plus additional benefits

Hours: Full-time; must be available for off-shift work and overtime as needed

A manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Control Manager to oversee plant supply chain, inventory control, warehouse operations, and production control activities.

The Production Control Manager will lead the plant’s Production Control function, coordinating material and information flow from customer demand through procurement and delivery. This position manages salaried and hourly team members and is responsible for inventory performance, shipping and receiving, departmental planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.

• Manage plant supply chain activities in coordination with suppliers, production, purchasing, planning, IT, sales, and other departments.
• Oversee inventory of purchased components, work-in-process, and finished goods, including achievement of Days on Hand inventory targets.
• Lead and develop salaried and hourly Production Control employees.
• Monitor shipping and receiving performance, investigate discrepancies, and address process deficiencies.
• Establish departmental policies, goals, and improvement plans.
• Prepare annual expense, capital, and labor budgets.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and supplier management best practices.
• Oversee warehouse receiving and shipping operations in accordance with established production system standards.
• Support employee development and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Travel for training as needed.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, OR an associate degree with extensive relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Production Control Manager or Inventory Control Manager.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, MRP, and data analysis.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

• Forklift experience.

• Must be willing to work off-shift hours and overtime as business needs require.
• Must be willing to travel for training when needed.
