Location: Portsmouth, NH (onsite)

Job Summary The Cost Accountant will analyze manufacturing costs, prepare detailed cost reports, and ensure accurate cost allocation to support financial planning and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with operations and supply chain teams and plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance within a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities- Calculate and review manufacturing rates and cost structures
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to cost analysis
- Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs
- Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate cost data
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports for management review
- Support internal and external audits with cost-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Competitive base salary range of $95,000–$105,000
