Nurse Appeals Analyst

Portsmouth, NH / Full Time / Exempt / Permanent

• Manage and analyze medical content related to the reimbursement and appeals process to minimize financial burden for patients
• Analyze medical records and data across all levels of the appeals process to support overturning denials
• Prepare comprehensive clinical summaries and appeal letters, editing templates as needed
• Provide accurate and thorough testimony for teleconference hearings, including ALJ and State Fair Hearings
• Ensure timeliness and compliance with CMS and other regulatory guidelines throughout the appeals process
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information in accordance with policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal Revenue Operations teams and external partners to support successful appeal outcomes
• Support internal and external audits as required
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned

• LPN or RN required;
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in a medical device, DME company, or relevant clinical background
• Familiarity with medical terminology; oncology experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of government and commercial appeals processes preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively de-escalate and resolve challenging situations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to set priorities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced office setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred

This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is $73,000–$122,000 per year. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors including education, experience, and demonstrated job‑related knowledge and skills.

We offer a flexible, trust-based hybrid working model for most of our office-based roles. Employees are asked to be in the office an average of three days per week, with flexibility as business needs require.
