Cardiovascular Imaging Assistant
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Cardiovascular and Imaging Assistant is responsible for performing clerical duties, patient navigation and scheduling, and acts as the assistant to the hospital’s imaging and cardiovascular staff as well as other modalities as assigned. The Assistant also performs cardiovascular testing, such as EKGs, Holter, event, and patch monitors.
- Provides assistance to the staff working in imaging and cardiovascular imaging as well as other modalities.
- Preps and screens patients before imaging exams.
- Assists staff in verifying patient identity and with general patient mobility and positioning.
- Assists patients, families and friends as needed; escorts patients to correct locations for imaging and cardiovascular studies.
- Performs cardiovascular testing such as EKGs, Holter, event, and patch monitors.
- Facilitates communication between the Imaging Services Department, the Cardiovascular Services Department, and members of the medical staff and other hospital departments.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- High School Graduate / GED.
