The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for full lifecycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external).
Job Duties- Determine and implement recruiting best practices.
- Partner with managers to determine requirements for the position and the qualities of an ideal candidate.
- Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as social media recruitment, career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc.
- Develop advertising programs (internal and external) in order to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Enter information into ADP recruiting portal. Run and update reports and logs.
- Ensure that personnel requisitions are completed in a timely manner and verifies that agency approval is given prior to posting.
- Conduct reference checks. Conduct phone interviews and face to face interviews. Schedule interviews for internal and external applicants.
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to provide information on the interview process status.
- Assist with internal recruitment process, verify that all openings are posted internally and externally, including screening of internal applications, coordination of interview with hiring manager, transfer process, transfer offer letter, etc.
- Administer background investigations with administrative assistance.
- Draft offer letters, prepare new hire paperwork, and create employee files.
- Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with federal/state laws and regulations concerning employment, including Affidavit Action Plan compliance.
- Create relationships with Universities and post positions on University web sites as needed. Negotiate temporary services terms as needed.
- Assist with recruiting strategy on an annual basis.
- Partner with other HR staff for event planning activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in a Human Resources Generalist role with a focus on recruiting preferred.
- Must have knowledge of employment regulations with the DOL, EEOC, and other legal requirements.
- Knowledge of various functions (manufacturing, quality, engineering, logistics).
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas to summarize complex issues.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Results oriented.
