Dispensing Technician Nights Shift (7 PM 7 AM)

Under supervision, the Dispensing Technician is responsible for safely and accurately dispensing raw materials (liquids, powders, acids/bases, hazardous and non-hazardous) under cGMP conditions to support the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API). This role operates in a rotating night shift (7 PM 7 AM) including every other weekend.
. Key ResponsibilitiesDispense raw materials (liquids and powders, hazardous and non-hazardous), and acids/bases, according to defined process recipes and cGMP guidelines.
Perform and monitor all dispensing processes and weigh materials accurately.
Demonstrate aseptic technique and awareness of cross-contamination control while working in a Class C environment and wearing required PPE.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times, as well as Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Operate, monitor and perform scheduled cleans and sanitization of dispensing equipment and area.
Review completed eDispense orders/kits via peer or First Level Review after completing required training (WBT, LQM/PM sign-off).
Use software systems to prepare materials for transport and delivery to manufacturing suites; perform physical movement and software updates for materials.
Complete basic laboratory tasks including pH measurement, conductivity checks and sampling as required.
Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas, reload reusable tubs, ensure no free liquid on vehicle floor, report readiness to plant supervisor.
Participate in safety inspections, submit safety observations, and support a safe workplace.
Attend shift exchange and required meetings, manage emails, and participate in assigned logistics and operational projects.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Logistics team and manufacturing operations.
Night shift: 7 PM 7 AM.
Rotating days and every other weekend required.
On-site role, located in a manufacturing/biopharma facility under cGMP conditions.
Physical Requirements
Education/Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical/biopharma environment is preferred.
Basic understanding of hazardous materials handling and OSHA regulations.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow written procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation.
Ability to operate dispensing equipment, tubs wash units, and carry out inspections.
Basic computer skills and experience with scanning or software systems (e.g., eDispense).
Ability to work night shift schedule, rotate weekends, and adapt to production needs.
Physical/Environmental Demands:
Extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Ability to lift up to ~55 lbs and push/pull carts up to ~500 lbs.
Comfortable working in a controlled manufacturing environment wearing required protective apparel and PPE.
Awareness of and adherence to cGMP, aseptic technique, and contamination control.
Work occurs in a Class C manufacturing environment under cGMP regulations and cleanroom/ controlled area requirements.
Handling of hazardous materials (acids/bases, powders, liquids) requiring attention to safety and contamination control.
Must wear required gowning/PPE and follow all safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
Housekeeping responsibilities to include cleaning up spills, keeping floors dry, removing debris, and maintaining orderly work areas.
Reports to the Plant Supervisor / Logistics Team Lead.
Works closely with manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and operations support teams.
Has peer review responsibilities for eDispense order/kit completion and works with area trainers for qualification and training sign-off.
