Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Portsmouth Anesthesia Associates (PAA) is a physician-owned anesthesia practice providing services to Portsmouth Regional Hospital (PRH), Frisbie Memorial Hospital (FMH), New England Center for Orthopaedic Surgery (NECOS), and Coastal Eye Center. The team is composed of experienced physician anesthesiologists and CRNAs.

As a CRNA at PAA, you will have the opportunity to practice to the full extent of your scope and ability, while being supported in a care team model. We bill independently (QZ) and expect our CRNAs to be comfortable managing all aspects of anesthesia care, including preoperative assessments, consent, induction, and extubation. You may also independently perform regional anesthesia techniques such as spinals and peripheral nerve blocks.

• All case types including ortho, neuro, thoracic, vascular, urology, cardiac, OB/GYN, ENT, plastics, IR, EP
• CRNAs provide anesthesia for all cases except open-heart surgeries.
• Given the high acuity of patients at PRH, the role requires managing complex cases through teamwork and mutual respect with our physician anesthesiologists, who are available for consultation and assistance with challenging cases.

• Base salary $260,000 + up to $30,000 based on years of experience
• 3% retirement contribution
• Additional compensation for backup call from home for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Base 6 weeks vacation + 1 week CME, vacation time increases with PAA tenure
