Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Travel RN for Medical Surgical unit to provide high-quality patient care. The role involves working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing medical and surgical treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize EMR systems to accurately document patient information and clinical interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, especially post-operative orthopedic and bariatric patients.
• Maintain medication administration, wound care, and assist with procedures like orthopedics surgeries.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and maintain required certifications.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in hand at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Med Surg in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong clinical skills in orthopedic surgery and bariatrics preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with EMR systems and patient monitoring equipment.
