Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Registered Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse in Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Unit

• Provide complex post-operative care to cardiac surgery patients, including continuous assessment and telemetry monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage wounds to promote recovery and prevent complications.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care, procedures, and recovery processes.
• Ensure safe, evidence-based nursing practices to optimize patient outcomes.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience or knowledge in cardiac surgery or critical care preferred.
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Implement and monitor care plans tailored to cardiac surgery patients.
• Maintain telemetry and monitor vital signs for early detection of complications.
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and health management.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills.
