Neurology Veterinary Technician. Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking for a skilled, driven Veterinary Technician who wants to help support & elevate our Neurology department. Location:
Portsmouth, NH | Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital.
- $22–$36/hour (based on licensure, experience, and skills assessment)
- Four 10-hour shifts

- As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you’ll work at the cutting edge of specialty medicine, providing exceptional technical and patient care, including:
- Assisting doctors during appointments with strong client communication and education
- Patient preparation, recovery, and advocacy throughout their care journey
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations, and administration
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical and anesthetic records
- Ensuring equipment readiness and understanding its application and availability
- Advanced anesthesia monitoring for procedures such as CT and MRI
- Performing sterile scrubs and assisting during surgical procedures
- Epidural administration and advanced technical nursing care
- Supporting patients with compassion, precision, and clinical excellence
- You’re confident, detail-oriented, and thrive in specialty medicine. You bring:
- At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Already licensed or actively enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven accuracy with anesthetic agents, fluids, CRIs, and monitoring
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to long-term professional relationships
- The ability to remain calm, focused, and positive in high-pressure situations
- A passion for delivering exceptional client and patient experiences
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role
