The College of Arts & Sciences at Shawnee State University seeks qualified individuals beginning Fall and Spring Semesters to serve as Part‑time, Adjunct Faculty in the Department of English & Humanities for traditional classes in the following areas.

Composition
British Literature
Public Speaking and Human Communication
Ethics in Public/Private Life

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in the respective or related area

Possessexcellentcommunicationskillsandabilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithstudentswithawiderangeofskills

Abilitytousetechnologyinteaching

Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction

Abilitytoworkinamultiethnic/multicultural environment

Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening assignments – daytime availability a plus (in some cases, may be required)

Employment with the University is dependent upon BOT budget approval for the current fiscal year. Background check is required prior to hire.
