Driving School Instructor

Auto Club Driving Schools Inc seeks a part-time Driving School Instructor to teach safe, responsible driving to new drivers. In this field-based role, you will provide behind-the-wheel coaching and, when needed, classroom-style instruction focused on traffic laws, defensive driving, and test preparation. You'll assess student skills, give clear feedback, and adapt your teaching style to different learning levels. Ideal candidates are patient, safety-focused communicators who want to build driver confidence and contribute to safer roads in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide behind-the-wheel instruction to new drivers following school curriculum and safety standards
• Teach traffic laws, road signs, and defensive driving concepts in a classroom or one-on-one setting
• Assess student driving skills and provide clear, constructive feedback to build confidence and safety awareness
• Maintain accurate student records, lesson progress, and completion documentation
• Communicate professionally with students and parents about schedules, progress, and licensing preparation
• Ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and ready for instruction before each session
• Adapt teaching style to different learning needs and comfort levels behind the wheel
• Promote a culture of safety, patience, and responsibility in every lesson
