Substitute Teachers Needed (on-call/day-to-day)

Starting Date: Immediately

We are seeking substitute teachers for grades Pre‑K through 12. The district includes one high school, one middle school, and two elementary schools. Substitute teachers play an essential role in supporting the educational team, covering classes and providing instruction and supervision when regular teachers are absent.

• Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher.
• Arrive on time to supervise and instruct assigned classes.
• Follow available lesson plans and attend to routine classroom tasks and schedules.
• Maintain an orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Substitute teachers should enjoy working with children and adults, seek flexibility in schedule and assignments, and be professional, punctual, reliable, organized, and flexible. They should be capable and interested in working in a variety of assignments and at different school locations on a regular basis.

• Valid teaching certificate, a Bachelor's degree, or an Associate's degree from an accredited institution, or a minimum of two years of college completion on track to a four‑year degree (transcripts must be provided).
• Current résumé with three contact references (reference letters uploaded to School Spring application).

Day‑to‑day intermittent basis. Part‑time.

• Current national background check and fingerprinting required.
• Attend a one‑time mandatory substitute orientation meeting within one month of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
