Position: Sr. Program Planner I - Onsite

Program Management, Planning & Scheduling

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning & Scheduling professional to join the Program Design & Planning organization. This position will be responsible for the development, maintenance and analysis of the Program Master Phasing Schedule and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), developing the network and integrated workflow of schedule activities to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective plans for the scope of work.

The role will perform analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of critical path, risk integration, IMS structure, and evaluate trends and schedule‑related metrics. Depending on size and complexity, the role may assist a lead scheduler or be responsible for a smaller effort.

What You Will Do
  • Onsite support to the development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project, based on requirements/scope provided by the customer.
  • Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the program’s lifecycle incorporating contractual and programmatic changes to keep a realistic, current contract schedule baseline.
  • Ensure the IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases.
  • Ensure the IMS is resource‑loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness and compliance. Communicate schedule status electronically and verbally including critical‑path analysis, schedule variance analysis and “what‑if” exercises to the Planning Lead, Program Manager, customers and senior management as needed.
  • Support EAC and LRE processes as they relate to the Program IMS.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of the Program Master Phasing Schedule using Milestones Professional Software.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of Program Planning or Scheduling or Project Management experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 3 years’ experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience using software designed for creating and maintaining industry‑related schedules (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan or similar).
  • Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and/or evaluating critical path and/or workflow.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
  • Experience analyzing schedule data including driving paths, schedule metrics and trends, and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated understanding of product development principles including Agile Software development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to interface and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Benefits

Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and potential incentive compensation programs. Benefits eligibility may vary by business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement.
