Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Radar Platforms Technical Lead

What You Will Do

  • Coordination of assets and laboratory space resources to support multiple simultaneous efforts. Manage an operation and execution schedule, required to execute tasking.
  • Maintain onsite schedule and personnel assignments.
  • Communication of issues and priority changes across IPTs and platforms
  • Ensuring resources have proper training, equipment, and site access.
  • Drive safety, calibration & similar processes.
  • Collaborate with test architects and RPL to understand test needs/identify opportunities to use Portsmouth to integrate earlier and closer to home/TDMC initiatives.
  • Develop integration and test plans, and detailed integration and test milestones to meet program objectives.
  • Regular interaction with multiple internal program leadership and technical teams. Interface with customer representatives during technical interchange meetings or onsite demonstrations.
  • Contribute to proposal work estimates, bidding, and gate reviews.
  • Planning for and communicating site needs to various stakeholders.
  • Interfacing with site facilities to coordinate any support needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering, system integration, verification and/or validation.
  • Experience with RADAR programs (E.g. RF design, & Testing).
  • Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • EVMS certification (PM level 6 or better) and cost estimating (BoE) experience.
  • Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with SPY-6 or other naval radar programs.
  • Experience interfacing with customers.
  • Experience as a site lead

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.

-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
