Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking Senior Systems Engineers interested in Naval Radar engineering. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the aval undersea and Naval surface domains, including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration.

Our Naval Radar engineers perform radar data analysis and tracking, develop and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and ensure our products work the first time and every time.

Every day presents a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions while working autonomously with limited oversight. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together, supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.

This position requires technical expertise and the ability to make decisions independently to drive the success of complex projects.

Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  • Document and Communicate:
    Develop system engineering requirement documentation, execute test plans, analyze results, verify requirements, and effectively communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders.
