Lead the team in defining, managing, and validating system requirements across the full engineering lifecycle. Oversee technical work products to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established requirements and standards. Drive the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes, procedures, and methodologies that enhance system performance and team effectiveness. Coordinate system architecture, integration, verification, and deployment activities to ensure alignment with project objectives and traceable requirements.
Collaborate across disciplines to resolve technical issues, mitigate risks, and maintain traceability configuration and requirements. Lead in overseeing technical work, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards. Exhibit the ability to overcome obstacles by proactively identifying potential roadblocks, negotiating changes to ensure project success, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve conflicts. Evaluate contracts, engineering strategies, and operational efficiencies to optimize spending, while identifying financial needs for projects or operations to ensure alignment with overall strategy, and addressing variances between actual and planned spending through corrective actions.
Travel, domestic, to support customer events, with an expected travel requirement not exceeding 15%.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, and/or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with system software, system hardware, system requirements and/or test.
- Experience with underwater acoustics analysis, sensor systems, and/or naval system development.
- Hands‑on experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and practices.
- Deep subject matter expertise in systems engineering or a related technical field, including providing guidance and driving technical direction.
- Experience analyzing system performance metrics and applying optimization techniques to improve capability and efficiency.
- Experience breaking down complex technical problems, analyzing data, and developing clear, actionable solutions.
- Experience with technical writing and oral presentations.
