What You Will Do
- Design, plan, enforce, and coordinate CM and tool processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with program goals and industry standards.
- Configuration Planning & Identification, Change Management & Version Control, ensuring traceability and accountability for digital product artifacts.
- Perform and oversee Status Accounting & Configuration Audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage digital product development/media libraries, ensuring secure and efficient storage and retrieval of assets.
- Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build, and versioning, promoting best practices and consistency across teams.
- DPCM/SWCM Tool administration / manage all access to tool applications (i.e., Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server (ADS), Git, Bit Bucket, JIRA, Confluence, Clear Case) and provide user support and training as needed.
- Administer/manage/use Dev Sec Ops tools like Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, Git Lab CI/CD, Bamboo, ensuring seamless integration into the development lifecycle.
- Facilitate the Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs).
- Maintain familiarity with program schedules, budgets, and risks, proactively identifying opportunities to align work with program priorities and promote reuse and efficiency.
- Coordinate secure data transfers and provide courier support among various environments, ensuring proper handling and compliance with RTX policies.
- Lead coordination and execution of various digital product releases, interfacing with functional and program leadership to ensure on‑time delivery and adherence to configuration management processes in multi‑environment areas.
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to educate team members on CM tools, processes, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, quality, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of configuration management processes into the overall program lifecycle.
- Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in configuration management and Dev Sec Ops , and recommend improvements to existing processes and tool chains.
- Follow RTX Policies and Directives in accordance with established program documentation and work instructions under the guidance of the DPCM Team Lead and/or Section Leader, while demonstrating initiative and independent problem‑solving.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). A minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with version control and change management/agile planning tools.
- Digital/Software Configuration Management technology, Information Technology (IT), and/or development/scripting experience.
- Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
- Work effectively with stakeholders from cross discipline organizations.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
- Advanced knowledge in Digital/Software Configuration Management principles, process, and implementation/execution.
- Solving complex problems, sharing knowledge, and documenting work.
- Experience with DPCM/SWCM tools (Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server (ADS) – Git, Bit Bucket, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and/or IBM Rational Clear Case, Synergy, Jenkins, Artifactory).
- Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML).
- Experience with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Git Flow, and Agile concepts.
- Database/DPCM/SWCM tool administration experience.
- Proven experience with configuration management concepts and implementation.
- Experience with digital/software industry best practices such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI).
- Proven collaboration and effective communication with cross functional organizations.
