Nurse Residency - RN

The Nurse Residency - RN role involves providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care through ongoing patient assessments and adherence to hospital policies. The position emphasizes clinical resource development, staff education, and demonstrating professionalism and compassionate patient-centered care. Experience in geriatric psychiatry and previous hospital work is preferred, with necessary licensure and certifications required.

Under the direction of the nurse manager, manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

• EDUCATION
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• EXPERIENCE
  • Previous Geriatric Psych exp pref;
    Previous hospital exp pref
• LICENSURE
  • Current RI License BLS required CPI training within 1 yr of employment
• SPECIAL SKILLS
  • Previous geriatric psychiatric experience preferred
