Job Summary

Position: HVAC Technician – Onsite – Portsmouth, RI (1847 W Main Rd, NIMITZ BLDG). Shift: 1st shift (6:30am – 3:00pm). Pay:
Starting wage $43.55 per hour.

We are looking for an experienced HVAC technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential security clearance.

• Install HVAC systems according to specifications and local codes.
• Test and troubleshoot HVAC systems to diagnose and repair problems.
• Replace faulty parts and components as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and repair.
• Use tools such as multimeters, refrigerant recovery machines, and vacuum pumps.
• Communicate with clients to explain technical issues and recommend solutions.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Refrigeration Journeyperson II (RJ2) certification.
• Current EPA Universal Refrigeration (Tier II) Certification per CFR part 82 subpart

• Knowledge of electrical systems, building control systems, refrigeration systems (direct and indirect expansion).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Confidential security clearance.
