Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled mechanic with experience working on commercial vehicles, primarily Ford Super Duty trucks, as well as heavy equipment (primarily diesel Kubota excavators/track loaders), and general small-engine equipment.
This role is part-time, with a flexible schedule. More hours are requested during the spring/fall season when large repairs/enhancements are made.
While we are flexible with most scheduling, the candidate must be able to be on‑call during snow storms for emergency repairs.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and corrective maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
Track maintenance and repairs using a fleet management program
Schedule preventative maintenance and inspections
Support parts, tools, and equipment purchasing
Organize and maintain a clean, efficient shop space
Act as the day‑to‑day shop manager for fleet operations
SchedulePart‑time position
1–2 days per week, advancement to full‑time available
Must be able to respond to emergency call‑outs during snow storms for emergency repairs.
Experience:Heavy equipment maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Preferred)
Welding: 2 years (Preferred)
Commercial truck automotive maintenance: 4 years (Required)
