In Home Family Services Consultant

• Provide in-home support and teach practical skills to strengthen families
• Help families build stronger relationships, develop parenting skills, and overcome challenges
• Connect families with schools, healthcare, social services, and other community resources
• Provide crisis intervention and guidance
• Build relationships with families and collaborate with teachers, doctors, social workers, and other professionals
• Develop service plans, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation
• Facilitate family decision-making meetings
• Pursue or support certification as a Parenting Instructor
• Serve as a role model reflecting Boys Town’s mission and values
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field
• 1 year of experience working with children and families
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Ability to perform duties requiring sufficient strength, agility, and endurance during stressful physical, mental, and emotional situations
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including outside weather conditions and homes with substandard living conditions and domestic pets

Demonstrates expertise in providing in-home support and teaching practical skills to families, with a focus on building relationships and facilitating access to community resources. Proficient in crisis intervention, service planning, and maintaining accurate documentation.
