Rhino Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, national air hygiene and water treatment specialist. Our client is one of the UK’s longest-established providers in the sector, delivering specialist compliance services across healthcare, high-security establishments, local government, education, and commercial environments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Technician to join their team, ideally based within the Southampton–Portsmouth region, covering sites up to Basingstoke and Reading.
The Role
This is a field-based position working across a variety of client sites throughout England. The successful candidate will carry out primarily water hygiene duties, with occasional air hygiene responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* TMV servicing and maintenance
* Down service disinfections (mains or tank-fed systems)
* Monthly water monitoring in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274, including:
* Outlet temperature checks
* Cold water tank inspections
* Hot water storage vessel inspections
* Logbook updates
* Water sampling
* Water softener servicing and disinfections
* Occasional air ventilation duties including fire damper testing
* Routine maintenance of air handling units
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* Legionella Awareness Training / Qualification
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Water Hygiene
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
* Comfortable working at height and within confined spaces
* Knowledge of current legislation and compliance guidance
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Confident communicator
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Desirable:
* City & Guilds qualification in TMV Servicing
