Solar Electrician

About the Role

Marble Talent Group are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Installation Electrician to join our clients growing renewable energy team. This role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining solar PV systems across residential and commercial properties throughout Hampshire and along the M25 corridor.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations while ensuring all work complies with current regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Install and commission solar PV systems, including inverters, panels, battery storage, and associated electrical components

* Carry out electrical wiring, testing, and certification in accordance with current regulations (BS 7671)

* Work on both residential and commercial solar installations

* Conduct system inspections, fault finding, and maintenance when required

* Ensure all installations meet health and safety standards

* Complete installation documentation and certification

* Liaise with project managers, roofers, and customers on site to ensure smooth installation projects

* Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition

Requirements

* Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

* Experience installing solar PV systems (preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate)

* Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable

* Full UK driving licence

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

* Previous experience with solar PV installations

* Experience with battery storage systems

* IPAF or PASMA certification

* ECS or CSCS card
