Trainee MCD Site Technician

We are currently looking for atrainee level ground investigationsitetestingtechnician to be a permanent member of the MCD team! We are looking foracompetent, hard-working individual who enjoysworking in an outdoor environment. Our site technicians will be working on various outdoor sitesidentifiedfor future development, currently being developed or other environments such ashighwaysand

MOD bases. They will be working as part of a team and reporting toasenior technician, who will also provide guidance and training, following our settraining plan.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

• On-site ground investigations to include:
• Second man on a window sampling drillingrig;
• Hand dugexcavations;
• Foundation/utility inspectionpits;

For the right candidate there will be opportunities to progress to Window Sampling Drillingas a lead drilleror on-site testing such as Plate Load Testing.

There is no experiencerequiredfor this position as MCD will provide all necessary trainingforthe employeetoundertake all thenecessaryservices we provide to our clients. We are simply looking for individuals with good communication skills (written and verbal);competent using touch screen tablets;who can work well as part of a team and independently in an outdoor environment; have a positive attitude to health and safety, and who are reliable, punctual, enthusiast and self-motivated.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK andhold a full UK driving license. There will be occasions when work dictates work acrossthe country so working away from home will be essential. A CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
