Transportation and Driving Licence Requirement

You will be required to arrange your own transportation to and from work, as a company vehicle will not be provided. However, you must hold a Full UK Driving Licence in case the need to drive a company van ever arises.

Provide general labour support for responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council’s (PCC) Housing and Corporate Assets stock, and from time to time support other maintenance contracts as required when demand requires.

• Work alongside Ground workers in undertaking a variety of repairs such as fencing, drainage, concrete repairs and paving.
• Work alongside Roofers in undertaking pitched and flat roof repairs.
• Assist tradespersons with general labouring requirements where needed.
• Clear and collect waste materials by transporting them to a waste transfer station.

• Be able to demonstrate you are a competent Labourer with a reasonable understanding of construction methods and materials used.

• A DBS check is required before commencement of role.

• 2 – 5 years of experience working as a labourer within the construction industry.
