Role DescriptionThe Main Sign Fitter is a full‑time remote role responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of interior and exterior signage.
Day‑to‑day tasks include reviewing installation plans, interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials and tools, and coordinating with project managers and clients to confirm installation requirements.
The role involves safely mounting signs on buildings or structures, ensuring proper alignment, secure fixing, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
The Main Sign Fitter will document completed work, report any issues or required repairs, and collaborate with the wider team to meet project deadlines.
Remote coordination with colleagues and customers, including digital reporting and updates, is an essential part of the role.
Qualifications- 3 years minimum experience with sign fitting or similar installation work, including reading plans, measuring, and using hand and power tools safely.
- Knowledge of basic construction practices and installation techniques, with an understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities for onsite challenges related to alignment, mounting surfaces, and structural conditions.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating remotely with team members, clients, and suppliers, and for documenting work clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple projects while maintaining high quality standards.
- Comfort with using digital tools (e.g., email, project management software, mobile apps) for scheduling, reporting, and remote collaboration.
- Physical ability to handle materials and tools, and to perform installation tasks in a variety of environments, following all safety procedures.
- Previous experience in signage, construction, or a related trade is preferred; relevant certifications or licenses are an advantage.
- IPAF / Pasma / driving licence required. Training can be given for the right person.
- You will be the lead fitter and in charge of running a van and supporting / teaching a fitters mate.
