This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in the Greater Portsmouth Area. The Carpenter will install, repair, and maintain fire doors and related components, ensuring they meet all relevant safety and compliance standards. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting materials, fitting door frames and hardware, adjusting and aligning doors, and completing finishing work to a professional standard. The role also involves using hand and power tools safely, interpreting technical drawings or specifications, and working closely with supervisors and clients to complete projects on time.

The Carpenter is expected to maintain a tidy work area, follow health and safety procedures, and accurately document work completed.

• Strong Carpentry skills, including experience with door installation and repair.
• Proficiency with Hand Tools (e.g., saws, chisels, planes) for precise cutting and fitting.
• Ability to use Power Tools safely and effectively for cutting, drilling, and fixing components.
• Experience with Framing and structural preparation for doors and related fittings.
• Finish Carpentry skills to ensure high-quality, compliant and visually neat installations.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn fire door regulations and relevant building standards.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to job sites in the Greater Portsmouth Area and flexibility to travel locally as needed.
• Relevant trade qualification or proven experience as a Carpenter; fire door experience is an advantage.
