Position DetailsElectrician – Response Team (South West)
Salary: £43,360 per year
Hours:
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Covering sites across the South West region – postcodes GU, PO, SO, RG and SP. Base office location is Salisbury; occasional travel to sites required.
Responsibilities- Maintain electrical installations and replacements in tenanted and void properties, ranging from changing faulty light fittings or sockets to partial/full rewires and CCU upgrades.
- Inspect and test occupied and void properties, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Complete all paperwork and produce certification associated with works undertaken.
- Monitor and maintain van stock to achieve a first‑time fix and ensure tools and equipment are kept in suitable condition.
- Qualified to the 18th Edition – 3rd and 4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391‑52, AM2 or currently undertaking the qualification. Original certification must be presented at interview; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to implement effective solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused approach.
- Full, valid UK driving licence required to operate company vehicles.
